“Academic Bank of Credits” means an academic service mechanism as a digital/virtual/online entity established by University Grants Commission to facilitate students to become its academic accounts holder, thereby paving the way for seamless students’ mobility between or within degree granting HEIs through a formal systems of credit recognition, credit accumulation, credit transfer and credit redemption to promote distributed and flexible teaching learning

National Education Policy 2020 has emphasized the use of technology in multiple ways to enhance the teaching-learning experience and to make quality education accessible for masses. As per the NEP document, the use of technology will be taken to the next level to “ensure preparedness with alternative modes of quality education whenever and wherever traditional and in-person modes of education are not possible.”

On online degree

Quadrant-II (e-Content) Shall contain self-instructional material, e-Books, illustrations, case studies, presentations, Web Resources such as further references, Related Links, Open-source Content on Internet, Video, Case Studies, books including e-books, research papers & journals, Anecdotal information, Historical development of the subject, Articles, etc.
c. Quadrant-III (Discussion Forum): Discussion forum for raising doubts and clarifying them near real time by the Course Coordinator or his team.
d. Quadrant-IV (Assessment) Shall contain problems and solutions, which could be in the form of Multiple-Choice Questions, fill in the blanks, Matching Questions, Short Answer Questions, Long Answer Questions, Quizzes, Assignments and solutions, Discussion forum topics and setting up the FAQs, Clarifications on general misconceptions.
